Shonn Greene - Iowa Hawkeye (05 - 08)

Shonn Greene lived the Cinderella story while at Iowa. Falling out of school with academic problems, he worked moving furniture while he got himself eligible to play again. He started his Junior year buried on the depth chart and emerged as the only Running Back in the country to rush for 100+ yards in every game of the season on his way to winning the Doak Walker Award in 2008. He was also a First Team All-Big Ten and First Team All-American in his junior year. He decided to leave school early and enter the NFL Draft where he was selected in the third round (65th overall) by the New York Jets. He started the season 3rd on the depth chart but moved up to 2nd after an injury opened the door for him to back-up Thomas Jones. So far he has rushed for 478 yards with 2 Touchdowns through Week 16 of the 2009 season.
