Bob Sanders - Iowa Hawkeye (99-03)

Bob Sanders was drafted as the 44th pick overall in the 2nd round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. Bob is widely known as one of the most dominant and exciting defensive players in the NFL. Bob has already experienced a tremendous amount of success in his short NFL career. His lists of accolades already include: 2 x All Pro, 2 x Pro Bowler, 2007 AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year, 2007 GMC Defensive Player of the Year, 2007 AFC Defensive Player of the Year, and Super Bowl Champion. Bob’s physical play and hard hitting has rewarded him generously with the accolades listed above, large endorsement deals, and a long term contract with the Indianapolis Colts but it has also cost dearly as Bob has struggled with more than his fair share of injuries. The 2009 season has been no different as he has only been able to play sparingly in 2 games this season recording 2 Tackles and 1 Interception. On November 7th, 2009 the undefeated Indianapolis Colts officially announced that Bob will miss the remainder of the 2009 season with a torn bicep tendon yet still his legend plays on.
