Wiegmann left the Hawkeyes after being a consistent performer on their Offensive Line in the mid-90's. He went undrafted but through hard work and dedication has put together an NFL record for consecutive games started by active Center's. He has compiled the streak while playing for the New York Jets, the Chicago Bears, the Kansas City Chiefs and currently the Denver Broncos. His endurance was rewarded when he was selected as an alternate for the 2008 Pro Bowl. Currently his streak of games started sits at 142 through Week 16 of the 2009 season.
